cat is view the file without edit log you can view the file in read-only mode no read log no edit log ,and the usage in the below:
 -A, --show-All
               Equivalent to -vET.

        -b, --number-nonblank
               To non-empty output line number.

        -e equivalent to -vE.

        -E, --show-Ends
               At the end of each line displayed $.

        -n, --number
               Tell all the output line number.

        -s, --squeeze-blank
               All consecutive multiple blank lines replaced by a blank line.

        -t equivalent to -vT.

        -T, --show-Tabs
               The TAB character is shown as ^ I.

        -u (ignored option)

        -v, --show-nonprinting
               In addition to the LFD and TAB all control characters ^ and M- record display mode.

        --help display this help and exit.

        --version
               Display version information and exit.
